NC-SC BBQ War Between the States

Rules

1. Teams will be cooking individually and will be judged individually.
2. The highest scoring team will be decided from 2 KCBS entries in Saturday's event and the highest scoring of the six competing teams will be the winner. A unique custom built trophy will be presented to the team with the highest total score and that team will represent his state until the next War.
3. Each War team will choose two categories from the four standard KCBS categories and only those two scores will be used to determine the winner of the War. Each team must declare their two choices on Friday but no later than the team meeting. This means that each team can choose its best two categories for the War.
4. Meat is to be provided by the teams.
5. KCBS rules will be followed.
6. Teams are selected by their standings in last year's Hog Happnin'. The top 3 finishers from each state are invited to represent their state. If either of them can't compete then the next highest finisher will fill the opening. If all openings can't be filled from last years finishers from that state, then the earliest team from that state to enter this year's Hog Happnin' will be invited, etc.
7. All invited teams who accept must compete in all four KCBS categories.
